Riverside Avondale Preservation Staff Promotions and Changes
The Riverside Arts Market is fortunate to have long-standing and dedicated staff leading its extremely successful trajectory. For the last six years, John Silveira has led the Riverside Arts Market bringing decades of experience in community supported agriculture and public markets to our neighborhood. Silveira has made both drastic and subtle changes at RAM that have led to its overwhelming success. Some of these changes include the width of the aisles, the willingness to move vendors around and draw patrons into new areas of the market, and accepting new market vendors with unique and creative products that can only be found at RAM. Silveira has also worked to strengthen the numerous small and independent businesses that make RAM what it is. His work over these last few years, combined with his unwavering commitment to training and education of the RAM staff, has led to a change in title from Senior Market Manager to Market Director. In addition, everyone at RAM knows Marisa Whittemore. Her quiet but bubbly personality is a hallmark for vendors who have gotten to know her over the last year. Marisa started at RAP as the Social Media and Events Coordinator, but she quickly excelled at RAM and has enjoyed creating videos for RAP events and sponsors. Marisa exceeds expectations in her creative content design on social media. She is also a whiz in creating our digital newsletter and in keeping our many websites current. We are happy to promote Marisa this year to Digital Media Manager, giving her more focus and opportunity to excel in our digital outreach. Marisa continues to lead at RAM helping our vendors enhance their small business services. She will also continue helping strengthen and support RAP events. However, we are happy to allow Marisa more time to focus on the creative elements of the position. Congrats on the promotion Marisa, and everyone looks forward to seeing you at RAM.
