COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) is seeking a Communications Director to lead strategic communications, branding, and marketing efforts for both RAP and the Riverside Arts Market (RAM). The Communications Director will oversee media relations, digital communications, event marketing, and promotional campaigns to engage the community and amplify RAP’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy
  • Manage social media, newsletters, and web content
  • Cultivate media relationships and generate press coverage
  • Lead marketing efforts for RAP’s signature events (RAM, Music Tour, Luminaria, Home Tour, etc.)
  • Supervise the Digital Media Coordinator (part-time)

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time, salaried
  • Reports to: Executive Director
  • Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000 per year

DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator to support digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategies for both RAP and the Riverside Arts Market (RAM). This flexible and creative role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Communications Director in executing digital strategies for awareness, engagement, and event promotion
  • Create and manage engaging content, including videos, social media posts, and newsletters
  • Support the Development Manager with sponsor and partner outreach
  • Work on digital strategies to promote small businesses, parks, special events, and preservation efforts
  • Monitor social media analytics and engagement metrics

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
  • Reports to: Communications Director
  • Salary: Competitive hourly rate (applicants should include salary expectations)

MARKET SPECIALIST

The Market Specialist plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations at the Riverside Arts Market (RAM). This position assists with logistics, administration, and vendor coordination while helping to create a welcoming and well-organized market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with vendor check-in and check-out, keeping accurate attendance records
  • Set up and maintain spaces within the market, ensuring an inviting atmosphere
  • Support market operations, including conflict resolution and logistical adjustments
  • Handle SNAP and Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) transactions and vendor reimbursements
  • Collect and record cash booth fee payments from vendors
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including post-market reports and cash reconciliation

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)
  • Reports to: Market Director
  • Compensation: $15-$20/hour
  • Schedule: Flexible, but Saturdays required
