RAP hosts its inaugural Community Yard Sales on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 8am-3pm! Make a day of venturing through the historic district hunting for everything you need, and one or two things you had no clue you needed! There will be treasures galore!

Residences and businesses within the boundaries of the Riverside Avondale historic district (SEE MAP) are eligible to participate. This is the perfect time to purge your closets, empty your garages, and cleanse your home of clutter accumulated over the years. Businesses are welcome to hold their own sales, but can also be included in promotions if a special offer is provided to the yard sale attendees.

The Community Yard Sales will take place rain or shine, however in the event of severe weather, they will reschedule to Saturday, Sept. 26.

If you have items you want to let go of, but don’t have the time or energy to organize a full yard sale, please consider donating items to RAP for its own yard sale of which proceeds with directly benefit our operations. Donations can be dropped off at the Buckland House at 2623 Herschel Street on the following dates:

Sept. 14, 15, 16 & 17: any time between 1-4pm
Sept. 18*: any time between 10am-4pm

*Bigger items like large furniture pieces (I.E. dressers, dining sets, armoires, etc) should be dropped off only on Sept. 18.

If these dates and times do not work for your schedule, please contact Travis at travis@riversideavondale.org to coordinate an alternate time for your drop off.

WE NEED HELP! We need extra hands to help sort, organize and price donated items for RAP’s own yard sale and operate the RAP yard sale, including setting up and breaking down. We also need help placing yard signs promoting the Community Yard Sales throughout Riverside and Avondale. There are a number of volunteer shifts available the week of September 14. We’d love your help!
